Custom ECU calibration is the process of rewriting your engine's control software specifically for your car — your hardware, your fuel, your boost targets. Off-the-shelf maps (like APR Stage 2 or Unitronic) are generic files developed once and sold to thousands of vehicles. MVPerformance develops every calibration in-house from scratch, validated live on our AWD Dynapack under real load conditions on your exact build. No. MVPerformance is a proprietary software developer — not a reseller of off-the-shelf maps. We do not flash, sell, or support APR, Unitronic, Cobb, or any generic calibration files. Every map is developed entirely in-house on our own calibration platform, validated on our AWD Dynapack, and built specifically for your vehicle.

MVPerformance holds the record for the world's fastest EA888-powered vehicle — the 2.0T turbocharged engine platform found in the Volkswagen Golf R and Audi S3. This record was achieved using 100% proprietary in-house software developed and validated on our AWD Dynapack in Davie, FL. The EA888 record demonstrates that our calibration platform can extract more power from this engine family than any other shop in the world.

We specialize in Volkswagen and Audi MQB/MQB-Evo platforms. Our ECU calibrations cover the Golf R MK7, MK7.5, and MK8, Audi S3 (8V and 8Y), Audi RS3 (8V and 8Y), Audi TT RS (8S), and Cupra Formentor on the EA888 platform. We also calibrate the DAZA and DNWA 2.5T five-cylinder found in the RS3 8Y, TT RS 8S, and RSQ3 Sportback. TCU calibrations are available for DQ250 and DQ500 DSG transmissions.

In-person dyno tuning at our facility in Davie, FL delivers the most accurate and powerful results — every calibration is developed live under real load on your specific car. Remote flashing is available for select platforms as a secondary option. However, our full custom calibration process, including live dyno validation and ECU/TCU synchronization, requires the vehicle on-site.

ECU tuning modifies the engine control unit — boost targets, fuel tables, ignition timing, torque limits, and throttle response. TCU tuning modifies the transmission control unit — shift points, clamping force, launch control strategy, and torque capacity. For maximum performance and reliability, both units must be calibrated simultaneously. Mismatched ECU and TCU maps cause clutch slip, delayed shifts, and power loss. MVPerformance calibrates both in a single synchronized session on our AWD Dynapack.

MVPerformance operates on a limited batch model — a maximum of 4 cars per calibration batch. This ensures each build receives undivided attention rather than being rushed through a high-volume queue. Once a batch is full, it closes and the next opens in 2–4 weeks. Customers can reserve a slot via our online portal and will be contacted within 24 hours to schedule their dyno session.

Yes. We offer full E85, E50, E30, and flex fuel calibrations on supported platforms. E85 tuning requires supporting hardware — high-flow injectors, an upgraded fuel pump, and compatible fueling lines. Flex fuel calibrations allow the vehicle to run on any ethanol blend automatically. E85 typically enables 10–20% more power over 93-octane maps on the same hardware.

A full ECU calibration session typically takes 4 to 8 hours depending on the platform, hardware configuration, and fuel strategy. ECU + TCU bundle sessions calibrating both units simultaneously may take a full day. All sessions include data logging, live dyno pulls, and a final validation run before delivery.
